Flight Instruction
Earning your Pilot's License here at Hartsville couldn't be easier. We use one of the most popular training airplanes ever built, a Cessna 172, and we have several flight instructors with flexible schedules to meet your flight training needs.
We are offering a special Introductory Flight for just $60 and we'll introduce you to one of our Flight Instructors and let you enjoy a 30 minute flying lesson above the city of Hartsville.

The Federal Aviation Administration has a minimum list of requirements necessary to earn your license.
You'll need to:
1) Have a medical examination
2) Be able to read, speak and understand the English language
3) Be at least 16 years old to fly solo and 17 to take your flight exam
4) Have a minimum of 40 hours of flight time

Aircraft Rental
Even though our Cessna 172 is an excellent training aircraft it is also a great airplane for weekend trips. Once you earn your license you can fly to: Myrtle Beach - 40 minutes, Charleston - 55 minutes, Greenville/Spartanburg - 60 minutes, Asheville, NC - 1:15. The airplane holds 38 gallons of fuel so flights to places like Atlanta, GA, Daytona Beach, FL, Washington D.C. and Nashville, TN are all easy non-stop destinations from Hartsville.
Our Cessna 172 rents for $110.00 per hour including gas and insurance and our Instructor's rate is $30 per hour.
